The Security Footage Ended Clint’s Illusion of Control

Leonard handled the financial side separately. My mother’s trust did not instantly erase Clint’s rights because he threw one punch, but it contained provisions allowing the independent trustee to seek his removal for misconduct and misuse of company assets. The footage, together with records Leonard had already collected concerning questionable payments and contracting decisions, gave the trustee enough reason to ask the court for emergency restrictions while a full accounting was performed.

Bree called me repeatedly over the next several days. First she insisted the kitchen had been intended as a “surprise.” Then she demanded that I withdraw my complaint because Clint could lose his position in the family company. I told her I was done protecting anyone from consequences they had created themselves. My insurance company documented the destruction, contractors estimated the restoration costs, and my attorney handled every further conversation.

Months later, Clint’s control over the trust and company was still being decided through the proper legal process.

But one thing had changed immediately.
