The next evening, I placed an empty delivery box on my porch and watched from inside. I had filled it with old newspapers, a note, and a battery-powered tracking tag. I also positioned my doorbell camera so anyone approaching the package would be clearly recorded.
Less than an hour later, my neighbor walked onto the porch, glanced around, and carried the box home. She clearly believed she had stolen another valuable order.
When she opened it, she found a note reading, “Smile—you’ve been recorded.” Within minutes, the tracker showed the package sitting inside her house. I saved the footage, gathered screenshots from earlier missing deliveries, and contacted the police.
