Turn Leftover Citrus Peels Into a Powerful Homemade Cleaner
Most people throw orange, lemon, or grapefruit peels away, but these kitchen scraps can be transformed into a useful homemade cleaning spray. Citrus peels contain fragrant natural oils, while white vinegar helps loosen grease, mineral deposits, soap residue, and everyday grime.
To make the cleaner, fill a clean glass jar about three-quarters full with rinsed citrus peels. Cover them completely with white vinegar, seal the jar, and leave it in a cool, dark place for around two weeks. Once infused, strain the liquid and transfer it to a reusable spray bottle. It can be diluted with an equal amount of water for lighter cleaning.
