The Luxury Card Exposed Corinne’s Expensive Fraud

I did not open the door.

Instead, I activated the building’s security system and recorded Corinne threatening to destroy my property unless I restored her card. Within minutes, two security officers arrived, followed by police.

Corinne immediately changed her story.

She claimed the card had been a permanent gift and accused me of stealing money that belonged to her. I handed the officers the account records showing she had only been an authorized user—and that I had legally removed her access after the divorce became final.

Then the bank called.

Corinne had tried using the canceled card at three additional stores and had falsely told one manager I was mentally unstable and no longer capable of controlling my finances.

That mistake triggered a fraud review.

The investigation uncovered thousands of dollars in purchases Trevor had hidden during the divorce, including jewelry, hotel stays, and cash advances charged to accounts in my name.

My attorney reopened the financial settlement before the judgment could fully close. Trevor was ordered to account for the concealed spending, while Corinne received a formal trespass warning and lost access to every account connected to me.

Trevor called from another number and accused me of destroying his mother’s life.

“No,” I replied. “I simply stopped financing it.”

They believed the divorce ended my obligations as a wife.

They were shocked to discover it also ended my career as their private bank.
