Black mold around shower silicone is common because warm, damp corners stay wet long after the water stops. The quickest safe approach begins with ventilation. Open a window, switch on the extractor fan, and wear cleaning gloves.
Soak strips of kitchen paper or cotton pads with 3% hydrogen peroxide, then press them against the stained silicone. Leave them in place for 30 to 60 minutes so the liquid stays in contact with the mold instead of running away. Remove the strips, scrub gently with an old toothbrush, rinse with water, and dry the area completely.
