Fetterman Teases Post-Midterm Move: “Wait Till the Midterms. See What I Do.”

The more ambiguous moment came when the discussion turned to what Fetterman might do if Democrats won enough seats to make him a pivotal vote. Although he had previously said he would remain a potential “51st vote” for Democrats, Fetterman told the festival audience, “Wait till the midterms. See what I do,” before suggesting the subject should be revisited once the election results are known. His remarks did not amount to an announcement that he plans to leave the Democratic Party.
