The Attorney’s Folder Revealed Kendra Had Been Planning for My Cabin Long Before Odalys Died
Lorraine stepped inside, placed her folder on the kitchen table, and looked directly at Kendra. The first document was written notice that neither she nor Desmond had permission to establish residence at my cabin, obtain an interest in the property, or act on my behalf financially. Because they had only arrived with the moving truck the previous day, Lorraine told them to remove their belongings voluntarily or we would use whatever formal process Maine law required. I was not signing a deed, refinancing the cabin, or guaranteeing their private loan.
