The records did not automatically prove every expense was criminal, but they were serious enough for the bank to restrict further questionable transactions while investigators reviewed who had authority to spend Grandma’s money.

Over the following weeks, Grandma became noticeably more alert as doctors adjusted her treatment. Once she was medically stable and the proper arrangements were completed, she came home with me.
