Brenda Thought She Had Cut Down Flowers—She Had Actually Documented Her Own Trespassing
What I carried across the road was a wooden crate containing every stem Brenda had cut from my garden. I had spent Wednesday sorting them, labeling each variety, and taking photographs beside the security footage from my kitchen camera. On top of the crate I placed one envelope: a written notice telling her she no longer had permission to enter my property for any reason. Then I went home.
