The Boxes Revealed Bianca’s Plan to Remove Me

Inside the first box were my family photographs, jewelry case, financial papers, and several unopened letters addressed to me.

The second contained documents Bianca had printed from the county website: property records, estimated home value, and information about transferring ownership through a family trust.

Then I found a handwritten list.

Move her downstairs.
Convince Nathaniel she needs assisted living.
Sell house after paperwork is signed.

My son’s name appeared beside several items, but the notes beside it read: Tell him later and He will agree once everything is arranged.

Bianca had not merely redecorated my bedroom.

She had been preparing to declare me incapable of managing my own home.

I photographed every page before calling my attorney. By the time Nathaniel arrived from work, the locks had been scheduled for replacement and formal notice had been prepared requiring Bianca to leave.

He stared at the boxes in disbelief.

Bianca insisted she had only been planning for my future. Then Nathaniel saw the assisted-living brochures and the draft authorization giving her control over my property.

He asked her to pack.

She had expected him to defend her entitlement.

Instead, he helped carry my mahogany bed back upstairs.

Bianca wanted my room because she believed it was the first step toward owning my house.

The boxes proved she had already planned the last one.
