The first sentence came from a draft petition declaring me mentally unfit to manage my finances.
Robert, his mother, and Tiffany had planned to use the pregnancy and their staged wedding to pressure me into signing control of the company and bungalow into a “family trust.” If I refused, they intended to claim work-related exhaustion had made me unstable and request temporary authority over my assets.
The file contained emails, forged medical notes, and messages discussing how quickly I could be removed from the house after Tiffany gave birth.
Robert tried to call everything a misunderstanding.
The new owner calmly informed him that copies had already been delivered to my attorney, the company board, and investigators. The supposed wedding also created another problem: Robert was still legally married to me. Whatever ceremony they held had no legal validity and could support a fraud investigation if false documents had been filed.
Tiffany turned toward him.
“You said the divorce was already final.”
It was not.
By midnight, she had left with her suitcase. Robert’s mother demanded access to the bungalow until she learned the sale was complete and none of the belongings inside belonged to her.
Robert believed he was returning from a honeymoon to claim my home and fortune.
Instead, he arrived at someone else’s gate carrying evidence of the plan that would cost him both.
