Thaddeus looked down at page four. “Dr. Julian Mercer.” Beckett went completely silent on speaker. I had never heard that name, but the hospital parking tag suddenly made sense. Julian was Rosalie’s older brother, a physician whose marriage had apparently fallen apart months earlier. He had been staying at their townhouse several nights a week and borrowing the SUV whenever Rosalie wanted his sedan. Somehow, paperwork adding him as an authorized driver had been submitted under my account even though I had never approved it.
