Neighbor’s Simple No-Scrub Trick Removes Green Algae From Siding Effortlessly Every Time
Green algae can quickly make your home’s siding look dirty, especially in damp, shaded areas. While many homeowners reach for pressure washers or harsh cleaners, there’s a much simpler method that requires very little effort.
One easy solution uses ingredients you probably already have at home. Mix 1 gallon of water with 1 cup of white vinegar and 1 tablespoon of dish soap, then pour the mixture into a garden sprayer. Spray the affected siding thoroughly, making sure the algae is completely covered. Instead of scrubbing, simply let the solution sit for 20 to 30 minutes. During this time, the vinegar helps break down the algae while the soap allows the mixture to cling to the surface.
