Stevens subsequently endorsed El-Sayed, who will face Republican former Rep. Mike Rogers for the open Senate seat. El-Sayed received prominent primary support from Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and has campaigned on Medicare for All, campaign-finance reform and other progressive economic policies. Bridge Michigan<\/p>\n<p>Obama has become increasingly active ahead of November, recording campaign advertisements and making targeted appearances for Democratic candidates around the country. His Michigan rally will also support Benson and other Democrats running statewide.
